Feathered Friends + Glass Pane Deck Door = Stun/KO

Here in the suburbs we see many types of feathered friends; sparrows, blue jays, red robins, crows, eagles, etc..

We may only catch a glimpse of the predatory birds from up in the air, but many a small feathered friends enjoy feasting on the many insects that hide in our grass.  Apparently, a few of them, also like to try to fly through our living room.  Unfortunately, our windows and glass deck door remain closed.  The result??  THUMP...  Those poor creatures.

The first time it happened, the poor feathered friend was knocked dead.  Yes, dead.  It may have injured itself so badly, that it sadly perished on our deck.  We didn't even notice it's feathery presence until it was too late.  That happened a few weeks ago.

The second time it happened was just this morning.  THUMP.  This time, the bird was only stunned, dazed, and then flew off again.

I think we may need to place stickers on our deck, of predatory birds, to deter other small feathery friends from suffering the same fate.  In the meantime, I hope no other bird of flight decides to attempt to sail through our living room.

Last week, there was a similar thump on the window at work.... We think there must have been a sudden down draft or something that made the bird swerve because I don't think a bird ca miss a 20-storey building, and we are only on the 3rd floor!!
