NOO!!! Downtime from LOTRO??!! Downtime from my online MMORPG??? What to do? What to do??
Oh yes... the real world... a real life... heh. I forgot about that.
The servers are down for my online game, and it'll probably be down for a total of 24 hours (hopefully not more). So what does this mean? Lots of people complaining that they need to play. Or not NEED, but that they should have the right to play, and how dare the IT people take the servers down for maintenance for 4 hours... no 6... no 12... and going (16 hours now?). And when the servers aren't up on time, as promised, they demand their 50cents back for 1 day lost. 50cents, folks! Seriously, go do some chores, or something.
Personally, I am having a lot of fun reading the drama on the games forums. So much whining, that it's comedic, and sad at the same time.
So why the long delay in putting the servers back up? It's a conundrum for the IT folks to solve. And they are still solving it. 16+ hours of delay, attempted problem-solving and fixing, which means IT has been working 16+ hours. I feel sorry for those folks for getting so much flak. Yes, I would've loved to play the game today, like I play religiously in the evenings, but one night of lost play isn't killing me.
Seriously, folks. Relax!!

Refer to Asian Internet addiction commentary. haha
Servers down?! Oh no! Got to, god forbid, go outside. Or pick up the phone to chat. Or, oh no not this, exercise. ahhhhhhhh
NEED NEED NEED.... this is the right word cuz' it is an addiction. If i cant play this I have nothing. What's sad here is that you can play a variety of online games to kill time but not only people get addicted to this shit but they have to play the same thing over and over again for 24 hours a day until the next version of it comes out. Also these are the same people who are diagnosed with ADD and cant concentrate.... unless it's on a game where they can get bedsores while playing and still not move until they kill the gay Gandalf. (Redneck Version) I agree with you Win, it's comedic and sad. wgbc
