...from Little B.
Today is my first day at work, and I'm sitting at my desk, on my lunch break wondering how Little B is. Does she miss me? Is she having a good day?
Her day away from her parents will only be a half-day, since Husband took a half-day off.
Tomorrow is B's First birthday party, and I'm quite excited. Husband will be cleaning and tidying a bit, and I'll have to start preparing some of the food tonight, after work.
The only thing about the house, though, is that we wanted to mow the lawn before the party, but it was raining all week, this week, so we'll have to leave it. The lawn is quite a mess, though. It will take some time for us to get it nice again.
In any case, her party will be both indoors and outdoors. We will be using our charcoal barbecue in the backyard, and setting up some seating both in and outside the house. It works out quite nicely since the weather will be very nice tomorrow!
Now back to work! :)

Baby Surprises
Today, Baby was able to hold herself up on her own, while sitting!! Yaay!
BTW, she's also teething, which means that she can be quite cranky sometimes too. But overall, the Little B is doing well.
It's quite amazing to watch her grow, and hit all those little baby milestones!!
Today we even tried to have her drink from a cup (just 1 ounce). She probably drank half of it, and the other half ended up in her bib and clothes! We'll keep trying a little bit, once a day to see how she does. I read in a book that you can start training babies to drink from a cup once they can sit up, and since Little B is sitting in her new high chair, we are giving it a try.

Mmmm Tasty Fingers...
The baby has found both of her hands, and loves her fingers!!
In the morning, during play-time, in her sleep... she's always sucking her fingers or thumb. It's quite cute!! I know some people are worried that the finger and thumb sucking will last until she's 5 years old (past her infancy) but I'm not too worried. We can always try to wean her off her own fingers and thumb as she gets older. But for now, the sucking is a comfort measure, and all babies do it.
I've also noticed baby is starting to put things into her mouth! She's discovered the joy of tasting all her toys, hehe! So now we have to make sure everything is clean, just in case she sucks on it. She even sucks on her own bib, burp cloth, and mommy and daddy's shirts while we hold her.
As she gets older each day, and learns to do new things, I marvel at her cute-ness, and fall in love with her more as time passes. She is such a cute bundle of joy!

12 Weeks Old
Little B will be twelve weeks young tomorrow!!!
Baby can hold her head up, and has stronger back muscles!!
She can also ALMOST turn over!! She can turn from her back to her side, or from her stomach to her side... but she has no idea how to turn all the way yet. That's ok, though, there is still time for that.
She also laughed ONCE!! Yaay! I'm waiting for her to laugh again, but maybe she is hard to please, and I will have to search for another thing to truly delight her. She laughed when hubby took out his car keys and dangled it in front of her!! It was SO CUTE, and I was so glad that daddy made her laugh!! We tried the car keys trick again, but she hasn't laughed at it again...
Aside from that, I'm so paranoid that she's developing a flat head, but everyone tells me her head-shape is fine!! I'm just reading too much on the internet and getting paranoid about it all! I think I have to stop reading some of the articles on the internet. It's making me a bit nervous about her development... but then isn't it better to be informed about things, rather than be ignorant??? Ah well...
I'll update again in a few days, and hopefully will post some pretty pics of the babe.

Baby rolling over!
I don't know if this will happen again, maybe it was a fluke, but BABY ROLLED OVER!! yay!
She rolled over from her tummy to her back!!
I was giving her tummy time, and left the room to get a little face cloth, and when I went back into the room, she had rolled onto her back!! We have a SUPER BABY!
But again, was that just a fluke? Will she do it again? I tried to video tape her, hoping that she would do it again, but she didn't! I'm gonna keep the camcorder ready during her tummy times, and hopefully I'll be able to record it for next time!!

Smiling
The best thing right now is when the baby smiles, oh how CUTE she is when she gives a little smile to the world! I can be super-tired and feeling rotten with no energy, and then when I see that smile, I warm right up!! She is becoming such a little person, with her own personality!! She is so sweet and warm when she is happy, and can be quite obstinate and cranky when in a baaaad mood!! :)
