Little B is the pickiest eater when it comes to Breakfast. She doesn't like eggs, potatoes, most breads... Such a picky eater!
I now need to think out-of-the-box for her breakfasts. This morning, I made a soup, and scooped out only the solids (pasta and vegetables), mixed it with her rice (leftover rice from last night's dinner). She only ate the pasta, drank a few sips of milk, and as concerned parents (worried that she wasn't getting enough energy foods) we gave her apple sauce.
Why is applesauce a problem? It really isn't. It's unsweetened, and contains fibre, and vitamins... EXCEPT that she eats it almost every day. Apples, Apple sauce, Oranges, Fruit Cups... those are all Bethany's favourite foods. That, and Goldfish crackers. We need to diversify her tastes and she always fights us.
Give her raisin bread, and she will pick out the raisins to eat, and leave the bread. Giver her Apple Raisin Muffins and she picks out the raisins to eat, and leaves the rest of the muffin...
She won't eat pancakes, eggos, waffles... but she LOVES rice and pasta/noodles. I guess she really is an Asian baby.
I only wish that she would eat "normal" breakfast foods.
I'll just have to keep trying different types of foods until she shows interest in something. I have not thought about tomorrow's breakfast yet... maybe another type of soup, or a smoothie??

do you want to try out steamed eggs? stir one egg in a bowl and add some green onion& some water and put the bowl into a pot filled with water. After 15 minutes, the egg should be ready to serve.
egg:water=1.5:1
Oh yes, I forgot that she likes steamed egg. So far that's the only way she likes to eat it! But for breakfast, sometimes it's too much work to cook in the morning, although I DID cook for her when I woke up...
I think I will cook something tonight, and we can reheat it in the morning tomorrow. :)
