Piano

When I need unwinding, the piano, helps me to express my emotions more poignantly.  I'm a Pianophile.  I love the piano, I love the sound of the keys, I love it's expressiveness.  I cannot play a concerto, nor can I play without stumbling, but I enjoy playing.

When it's only B and I, I'll play her own soundtrack; I will make up a tune, or melody that expresses B's actions for the moment.  It's a lot of fun, and even better when B starts dancing to the piano.

When it's just me, I'll play anything I want, however I want to.  Only myself as an audience, it's easy to just let your fingers and emotions carry you away.

When it's the husband, I will let him hear me play B's soundtrack, or I'll practice my tried and true tunes.

For the general audience I will rarely play.  i''m not as good as I used to be.  I rarely practice, but have a sense of obligation to always play my best, and not be embarrassed.

In any case, I've been needing to unwind for the last week.  Let's see how brave I am, and if I'm willing to play the piano at work.  It is incredibly dusty, and extremely out of tune, but it may be better than nothing...  I will work up my courage soon, as I am in great need of unwinding and letting go.
