Little B has gotten into the habit of climbing onto anything climbable... couches, chairs, coffee-tables, toy-boxes, pillows. Yes pillows. She will smile triumphantly upon any successful feat of climbing. Then, she will stand. She will stand precariously on top of couches, chairs, boxes, coffee-tables... you get the picture. And after she stands, she looks for something else to climb on... shelves, another couch, tables, stack of books... She is fearless, and puts the fear (of her falling) into her parents. (No Little B, that's not for climbing!)
She also likes to sit. A lot. She will sit on chairs, blankets, pillows, boxes, books, toys, a camera (yes a camera), boxes... basically anything that is slightly raised off the ground is a place for her to sit. She loves the novelty of sitting on something other than the floor. Her favourite place, of course, is to sit in your lap with a book (which is Mommy's favourite place to have B sit) :)
We, as parents, can handle sitting. Climbing is a little scarier for us, but quite the adventure for B. I think we might have to invest n some rock-climbing and spelunking lessons for the little squirt. It's also time to re-arrange some furniture to reduce the temptation of climbing onto shelves and such.
She is quite the little adventurer, and it's wonderful to see that proud beaming smile on her face, after she triumphs in a little climb!
