I always thought that meditation was a bit flaky, that is, until I tried a short session at work.
My workplace was offering a session called Mindfulness, during the NOASH day (occupational health and safety day). There were two sessions - one on Mindfulness, and the other on office yoga/stretching. Both sessions were good, and Mindfulness was better than expected.
I was skeptical of Mindfulness - thinking that it sounded a bit flaky. However, it has some good ways to focus your mind, and to keep yourself calm during times of anxiety. We meditated for 10 minutes and it seemed as though I was taking a nap, because I was soo relaxed.
My co-workers and I left the lunch-hour session feeling peaceful, and our muscles felt less tense than when we first walked through that door. I don't know if I'll practice it myself, but I will try, once in a while. Everyone needs a way of keeping calm, and this seems to help me relax and focus...

What do you mean maybe? By the way sleeping at work doesnt mean that you are meditating.
