My guilty pleasure on TV is Survivor.
There's something about it that, to me, is captivating and intriguing. Maybe it's the social experiment - a game that encourages people to scheme and lie for money. I think that's something I wouldn't mind doing. Part of Survivor isn't just about cheating. It's about the ability to think fast, complete and outlast physical challenges, and to make friends. Everyone, at some point, will be deceitful to another. And that's what I think is interesting.
At the end of each Survivor series, there are two "survivors", and the jury of your peers (people whom you've backstabbed) have to be convinced to vote for the true and final Survivor - the winner of 1 million dollars. The trick is... how do you convince someone, whom you've betrayed, to vote for you - to hand you 1 million dollars?
That's the intriguing part.
This season I have my favourites whom I think will make it far (or relatively far). If they are final 4 - then that would be awesome. One of the more hated players, is to me, playing it smart. He knows where the power is, and he knows what he needs to do, even if it puts him in hot water. Sadly, I don't think he will win the 1 million because of sooo many enemies. But still - he has the eye on the prize and is playing strategically - rather than by pure instinct.
In any case, I've always raved against reality tv, until I started watching Survivor Season 11?? I can't remember which one - in any case it wasn't that long ago. I like the physical challenges - it's not something so lame as Big Brother where the only social experiment is to see who will win in a bicker-fest.

War real "Survivor" with death row inmates who play the game with one winner receiving a full pardon while the others get executed. No that's a show Fox will go for. Maybe they'll show it right after "Killing with OJ".
