This weekend was pretty good - enjoyed time with my future-hubby who returned from Winnipeg for the weekend and is now there again.
Friday
Karaoke cost more than remembered - but then again, I haven't been to karaoke in a while, and it's easy to forget the cost of it. My pet peeve was that the cashier didn't ask us if we wanted change, and just took all the money. We had to ask for change, after he put all the money in the till.
In any case, why is it now customary to tip karaoke places? What service do they give us? Okay, so some guy came in to turn the volume down on the speakers because we couldn't figure out how to do it... But it's not as though they are servers at a restaurant, etc.. They provide a service and we pay for it. They do not carry the service on platters... Grrr....
Then bubble-tea which was pretty funny - counting our coins because we used all our cash at the karaoke place. Bubble tea was yummy though. I haven't had a bubble tea drink in a while, either...
Saturday
Had all-you-can-eat sushi, which I haven't had in ages. We had a late lunch, and so it acted as our linner (as opposed to brunch). Food was good, price was decent for the selection. Apparently some of their items are hit and miss, but that day must've been a hit. I especially enjoyed the ika karaage.
Played rummoli with some friends - first time playing, and each time I was at the brink of death, I would bounce back by winning back some pennies. I could tell that B was annoyed though, because at first he felt sorry for my "brink of death" moments and lent me some pennies, then as I kept bouncing back over and over, I could tell he was starting to get competitive about it. I just thought it was comical, because I had no idea how to play (it was my first time), and no sense of strategy at all. At the end of the night, I was getting irritated though because my head started aching.
Then I had to go home asap, because my head was pounding, and I haven't felt that kind of intense pain before. According to my doc, that's what an intense migraine feels like. Well, at least i know it's not something more serious.
Sunday
As usual, tutored in the morn, then hung out with my sis for a bit. Then went home and rested, because I was still feeling headachey (although not as horribly debilitating as Saturday night).
Hmmm, this entry is kinda like a diary entry eh? Oh well, next post will be more political...
