So much about schools in the last few weeks:
School shootings in Canada and US, and most recently the one in Pennsylvania at an Amish school. These make sensational headlines and sometimes I wonder, if that makes it more "attractive" to people who want to act on these types of things - for reputation? for glory? Or does it give them the idea to do that?? In any case, probably a very contentious issue.
And on a more local note - there is a school act that prohibits schools from asking parents for extra fees for school supplies etc.. I wonder what would happen if all parents stopped paying extra fees - would we see limited extra-curricular activities now? Would we see limited "outside the box" learning systems - meaning no more school field-trips, etc? what would that do to kids who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to go to places like the Planetarium or Science World - meaning parents are always "too busy" to take their kids out on weekends? I'm not sure I agree with this, and yet I see the point - that already we are paying for kids education with taxes - so why pay more?
Also, Science World is having a human exhibit (featuring real human bodies) and Abbotsford school board has prohibited their schools from taking their kids to see this exhibit. I don't understand why. Is there a reason for this ban? Wouldn't it be a fun and interesting way to introduce kids to biology and/or biological sciences (like forensics, etc?). Perhaps they just don't like seeing bodies on display or something. But seriously, the exhibit is not grotesque, nor is it meant to scare kids or make them grossed out. It's a SCIENCE display, for goodness sakes! Maybe they're afraid the exhibit will introduce kids to the idea of evolution or something. Ugh. Some school systems make me feel gross.
Borat
Borat is funny, and although I admit he's very offensive, he is still funny. Keep it up!

Paragraph 1: I think people who are depressed and outcasts will always have tendincies to harm either themseleves or others. Everyone should always have one good friend and/or close family member or this can happen. Makes me glad that I am good friends with Katrina not that she would harm anyone but it is pretty lonely to come to the big city when you dont know anyone who lives there.
We dont need books, pens, paper, texts, computers, etc. What a child needs is to go out and get a job.... the lazy little bastards.
Want the school system to make more money? NO FREE ESL for high income families. This should only be for the poor and maybe middle class. AH such a socialist.
Evil-loution I will have none of it. Science World shouldnt even exist.. i mean GOD did create everything.. didnt he. datrash
