Pre Banff

Woohoo, gonna go to Banff today! It will be a 13 hour bus-ride and won't be arriving until Saturday AM, but that's fine since we'll be saving money on 1 night's accommodation.

Managed to stuff everything in a day-size backpack and I packed rather minimally... if I buy souvenirs, I don't know where I'd put it, though. I've been to Banff before, so hopefully there won't be much for me to buy. Maybe a postcard or magnet...

I'm going with my co-worker and hopefully we'll get along and won't get on each other's nerves. I think I would be the more annoying one, though. hehe.

We've collected discounts and coupons for our trip, so we will save just a little bit (not too much). Since Banff is such a tourist destination, there aren't too many discounts that you can find there, but the two of us have agreed to try to budget our spending a bit.

In any case, just as I'm getting ready to leave town, SHC arrived last night, after returning from Winnipeg. So we won't be spending turkey dinner weekend together. Too bad, because his mom makes a killer turkey! But while he eats turkey, I'll be eating Alberta beef. Yummms!
