Tonight I carolled. I sang xmas carols with the cubs at a senior's home.
Joys:
Making the elderly smile.
Pains:
Being out of tune and off-beat. Almost comical, but it made us all sound as though we were tone-deaf. Good thing it was only for 1 song.
It's strange, the impact you can have on kids. Some cubs, whom I don't even remember still know my name. I've probably met them twice or even once in my life and I vaguely remember them, if at all. Names?? No. Faces?? Some.
I was a little self-consious about my uniform - my neckerchief was terribly wrinkled and I didn't have the time to iron it before I went caroling. Luckily my hair is long, so that I can let it down and it covers most of the neckerchief. Hehe, the little secrets I can hide with a hair-do! (or hair-down!)
