The art of procrastination
What I should be doing now is writing my take-home midterm exam. It's due in a few days, and frankly I'd rather be doing anything else, but the midterm. I've been productive in many other ways this past weekend, mostly household chores like cleaning and vacuuming. I also played on my PS2 and plunked a few chords on my piano. Twice, I've updated this blog. I've read excerpts from "Knights of the Empire" by Lord Baden-Powell, looked up the definition of freemasons, and even read up a little on Wagner. What I've learned about myself, is that if I can put anything off to the last minute, I pretty much will. While I type this, I'm even compiling a playlist for a CD for myself, but definitely not pondering on the meaning of democracy, market, or marginal utility. But truly, after this last update, I'll crack open my books and begin the mid-term. Afterall, it can't be too difficult to write, can it?
