New Year, New Beginnings

January 8, 2004

Today, I play with my new purchases from the Boxing Week sales. I finally received my packages from Purolator yesterday and I have a brand new 20" tv which replaces my previous 13" fuzzy 1970's tv, and a new inkjet HP printer. I can now watch tv without straning my eyes, and I can print my essays now, for school!

This year will be full of new beginnings, and I look forward to it! I start school this January, taking part-time classes! I'm still living on my own, and enjoying the freedom! And I'm still doing the creative things that I love, like writing, beading, and all that other crafty-stuff! And what's a bonus, is that it's snowing!!

Yes folks, I love the snow!! On the first day of snow, I went outside after work, and built myself a snowman! The snow was great because I was able to pack it, and I was able to actually roll a snowball on the ground! I haven't been able to do that in Vancouver for a long time because the conditions have to be just perfect! You start out with a small snowball, pack it in your hands, and then put in the snow and start pushing it, so that the snow on the ground automatically packs onto it while you push! I was surprised to find that a lot of people had no idea that could be done!! How else do you make a snowman?? I suppose West Coaster's just don't have enough opportunity to play in the snow!

Anyway, I am very optimistic about this year, but then again, the first half of last year wasn't the best for me so it'll be easy to beat!

I hope all of you have a wonderful new year, and that new opportunities and new beginnings will bring you much excitement!

PS. Coincidentally, today is S.L's b-day! Happy Birthday S! I hope this year will be a good year for your health, and that you get better soon!! You have tonnes of friends who care about you, and who'll do anything to make sure you get better!
