Sleep Deprivation Continues

Hi everyone, please have patience while I "try" to catch up on my sleep - a difficult task since I am still waking in the early hours to pump milk for the baby.  My posts, in the meantime may be sparse, as you have noticed.

It seems that I am pumping less milk, now.  I believe it is either due to stress / lack of sleep (ironic, huh?), a side-effect of my allergy meds (d'oh), and/or I've been laying off the Almond Milk for the last few days, since I've been getting sick of it lately (almonds can help with lactation).  I believe it is a combination of all three.  So what will I do to rectify the situation?  Well, today I will go to the grocery store and get myself some Almond Milk, except I think I will indulge in either a coconut flavour, or chocolate flavour.  In the meantime, I will be drinking coconut water, which also helps promote lactation.  I've already taken a nap this morning, which hasn't helped, and I will eventually switch allergy meds, after I finish up my already-opened package.  I just purchased a new package on the weekend, which I will be returning for a refund.  Also, nap-time will come around again in a few hours, I believe.

I look forward to when baby's solid food consumption will increase in quantity, and then the stress on my body will be reduced.  Until then, I'll have constant bags beneath my eyes!

Try oatmeal! With almond milk. Tastes good and oatmeal (AND almond milk) both help with breast milk production. :)

I do oatmeal with almond milk once in awhile too, as well as lactation cookies. I finished my last batch last week, but it's too hot to bake, now that the sun is back out. Gatorade helps too, as does coconut water, so I've been drinking some of that today.
