Since my last post about exercising, I've only been motivated to exercise for two weekends. Every weekend seems to be filled with activities or errands to do, or I'm just plain tired out by the time Saturday and Sunday rolls around.
Exercise Moment #1: I tried Pilates using the various books that I've accumulated. Hours later my hip ached like it never ached before. So that was the last time I've tried Pilates, 2 weeks ago.
Exercise Moment #2: A limited number of leg lifts and core exercises seem to be somewhat challenging, and as long as I do not push myself, my hip does not ache afterwards.
Toddler Moment #1: Last week Toddler B asked to exercise with me. I asked, "You want to exercise?" Toddler B replies "Yes. I want to do this" (and she waves her arms up and down). "And I want to do this" (and she takes a few steps forward and a few steps back). "And I want to jump too!" (And she jumps up and down). I started laughing out loud. The arm waving, walking up and down, and jumping are all part of my aerobics DVD! She just motivated me to exercise more, because who doesn't want to see a toddler trying to aerobicize! Cutest thing ever!
Toddler Moment #2: This morning, Toddler B asked to exercise again. I asked again, "You want to excercise?" Toddler B replies "Yes, I want to do this!" She lays down on the floor and starts doing leg lifts!!! I have no words except to say that she is Awesome. I am now naming her my Exercise Coach. I believe I will have to start my exercises this week again, just to watch Little B imitate the moves and actions.
