Spotlight on our home

For the past three nights/early morning, there has been a giant spotlight shining into our front windows.  The spotlight is erected on the highway across/below our front street.  The intention of the spotlight is not to shine on our house (although it really does), but to illuminate the work area where a new service road will be built, parallel to our front road.

At first, I found it quite blinding, but during the early-morning feedings (for Little N), it was quite helpful.  I didn't need to turn on the kitchen light, and if I needed a little illumination in the baby room, I could open the curtains just a little.  The spotlight has worked out to be a convenient-annoyance.  I'm not positive the light will be there this weekend.  I suppose it depends on the schedule of the work crew, and road project.  The downside to having the construction crew working in the wee hours at night, is the noise.  At first it is a little grating and irritating, but eventually the hum of the machinery will put you right to sleep... until the cries of the baby wake you up.  Then the night-time feeding routine begins...

as long as you are not bothered. I don't think I can handle that. I remember last time, about two years ago, I could not sleep well because I could hear the airplanes soaring during midnight. I am very sensitive to noise, I guess. Does it bother Bethany though?

It doesn't seem to bother B at all. I think her little brother's crying bothers her the most, because she gets a bit distressed when he cries.
