There is now a new member to the world's holder's of nuclear weapons.
How can this surprise anyone?? Well, I'm not completely surprised. North Korea is run by a freaky dictator. Don't believe me? Just watch how nutty Kim Jong Il is in "Team America!" He's a true nit-wit there!
Kim Jong Il is a true nut that needs to be cracked.
.... so yea... this post is pointless. Just a new member in the Nuclear Family - an unexpected member, and now no one knows how to respond - except with apprehension and horror (oh the horror!). No, seriously, though. It truly is horrible. North Korea is in such a terrible state - the citizens are starving, the economy is terrible, and under dictatorship, nobody has access to the Internet, international news, or mobile phones! They are information deprived - and truly brain-washed since the only information they get about the outside world is through state media.
Are sanctions a good idea, to a country that already is deprived in food and medicine? will it change the mind of Kim Jong Il in developing nuclear weapons?? many people doubt it. I'm not too sure how I feel about the country - I'm so mixed. I feel sorry for the citizens, and pure contempt for it's leader and military.
I'm glad I'm not a politician.

...and speaking of nukes... what's with all these tv shows set in the background of nuclear explosions?? There's Jericho, which I think is a bit boring, and then there's Heroes about a bunch of mutants banning together to stop a nuclear explosion. Well, at least with the help of the tv industry we can play out various scenarios in our mind - that we'll either be rescued by some do-good mutants, or that in the event of a nuke, everyone will be civil to one another and work together harmoniously to survive.

N Korea also farms with animals and their own bare hands. They have no tools or machines to do their farming. Just Sad. The way KJL runs the country is like the way Bountiful is run. Keep all outsiders away cuz' they might let the locals know that their life is crap and cut off from the rest of the world.
Youre last comment about the citizens and their leader are bang on... but this happens in most African nations and sadly most people dont give a damn about them either.
l8r datrash
Hmm that's true. I've never given much thought to African nations... maybe that'll be my next post. But at least they don't have nuclear weapons...
Oh, and now KJI is now DARING nations to go to war with him. He may have a big army, but seriously, he has many many enemies with much more weapons pointed at his country than he could manufacture or purchase on the blackmarket. The start of WWIII? Like I said, a nit-wit.
