World events

One:
Vancouver welcomed the Dalai Lama to it's city once again. We're always happy to have him here.

Two:
The pope has criticized Canada about allowing gay marriage and abortion. He made an appeal to Catholic Canadian legislators, to not turn their backs on their morals and religion by allowing gay marriage and abortions. He is asking Canadian (Catholic) politicians to reconsider their stance on the above items.

Okay, firstly... the Pope has no authority over Canada to criticize our laws. He doesn't live here, he doesn't pay our taxes, so he has no right to try to influence the way our system and society works. Secondly... religion and state are separate institutions in this country, and will always stay separate. If the lines blurred, we'd have PM Bush's running our country.

Three:
9/11 passed without much of anything. I don't understand why everyone needs to tell their story of where they were on the morning of 9/11/01. Unless your life was in danger, unless you were directly affected by it (and not just inconvenienced, or just feeling sad) then I don't really care.

Also, all that stuff that happened after9/11 seems not to be criticized as much anymore. Why is US still in Iraq? Why isn't Osama captured yet?? Whatever happened to "hard-hitting" news stories? "Hard-hitting" now seems to mean focusing on Jon-Benet's murder (again), or revealing photos of Suri Cruise (surprise, she looks like a baby!). The world has it's priorities mixed up.

Check out Sept. 11 1973 and you might get a different memory of 9/11 from a Chileans perspective. USA gets what it deserves. Anyways, as for the Dalai Lama spreading peace and love all the time... this pisses me off. Doesnt anything bother this guy.. I mean when he is watching Reality TV doesnt he want to punch Ryan Seacrest in the face. kidding good guy, wonderful teachings.

As for the POPE NAZI... well it's the typical view of the Right Wing Catholic Nutbar Faction. Does he have a right to control our policies... of course not. But the US does, (softwood lumber, marijuana, security, etc.) so why not give it a shot. We bend over backwards to Bush anyways on his right wing religous adjenda now that Harper is in power.. so maybe the Pope Nazi will have a say with his 15th century base. scarry

I'll tell you where I was at 9/11. I was at 7/11 trying to figure out if it was a relative of the conveinence store clerk who did the attacks. who cares youre right! We dont cry over Israel or Lebanon or every African region and No this did not change the world... god I hate when people say that shit. All it did was freak out americans so that they would lose more of their freedoms.

Now that i am rambling and I think it's making no sense I want to say this....

If they really wanted Osama they would have found him. What they want is oil in Iraq and they want the war to last virtualy forever so that War Companies can make money forever. This keeps Bush(oil moron) and Cheney (evil war tycoon) very rich... as well as their cronies.

Suri Cruise is soooooo cute... ah shit who gives a flying F**K.

Also Jon-Benet is still dead.

War CBC and the great indepth reporting they do. Hope this continues. l8r datrash
