Long Weekend Aftermath

Long Weekend Aftermath
Thursday baseball game was better than expected, for more reasons which I will explain to most people in person (if I can). Therefore I will not blog about it right now. "What??" **blank stare as I gape** "What??"

In any case the game was fun - but I found myself mostly chatting, so it was hard to concentrate on the game. I'm too easily distracted by people. The fireworks afterwards were amazing too - much better than I anticipated - there were a LOT of fireworks, and very pretty - so nice, that even Stu was surprised by it.

Friday... too distracted to do any work. That's okay though because it was a slow day anyway.

Long weekend... worked a bit and napped a lot too. It was a combination of being lazy, and trying to get a few things done.

The plan to spend less on going out to eat worked though... SHC and I decided a few weeks ago that we spend too much money on eating yummy food, so we've been eating brunch by getting greasy breakfast at mom and pop diners (cheap, yummy, and filling), and/or cooking in on either a Saturday or Sunday. That saves us about $30 to $40 a week!

I guess I could cook ALL the time, but I'm not too confident about my cooking skills, and it's nice to treat yourself on the weekends, after cooking 5 days a week. The one evening I refuse to cook is on Friday - after a work week, Friday night is the opening of 2 days off and I won't start it by working in the kitchen. Thus, Saturday or Sundays will be my cooking nights, and Friday will always be my "going out" night. SHC is fine with that though, since I suspect he always looks forward to a Friday night out, too.

First day of school for many people... (but not me!) teehee
The skytrain was packed today. A lot of people shoving and crammed into tin cans. Someone at Broadway station insisted that there was still room on the train, and kept asking people to move over to let people on but seriously, there was no room! He sounded really annoyed, like people on the train were purposely making him late by not letting him on the train... well sorry but you should've woken earlier to catch the trains... The first week of September is always like this because students are now taking trains to and from anywhere and everywhere, and now there is also the addition of teachers taking transit, and parents going to work a little later because they are dropping off their little ones to school or daycare etc.. I wasn't too annoyed because I expected the crowds and waits at the skytrain station...

Yep, I know about the traffic. R and I are going to leave home at least 10 minutes earlier than normal now. Its worse for him because he actually has to go INTO the main campus. o.O

try in a coma was your reaction. As for your cooking you probably shouldnt be confident as you dont want to kill your future boy toy.

As for the skytrain it is the same with the buses... people do refuse to go to the back and fill up the bus/train... so he might have had a point. I bet you are one of those people who stand at the door arent you bitch... kidding lol datrash
