Sexy Hardware?

My sis and brother-in-law picked out some hardware for their bathroom, you know, towel bars, and hooks etc. My brother-in-law describes the hardware as "sexy". Maybe it's a guy thing, but I certainly don't think of hardware as being sexy - people and clothing can be sexy but hardware?? I guess I'm just not a very descriptive person when it comes to stuff like that.
