There goes the north!

Shell Canada has reported that it's purchased 58 thousand acres of land in northeastern BC at a cost of 85 million dollars. They plan to drill next winter.

Will additional oil help to reduce the price of gas?? Do we want cheaper gas at the expense of additional pollution and environmental damage in the North?

How about instead of investing in oil, people begin investing in research and development for alternative forms of fuel?? Instead of Shell spending 85 million dollars to buy up the BC North, they re-invest it to re-develop a cleaner fuel that has a much quicker renewable life-span than oil??

Shame on Gordo for allowing this!
