crash and run

I've gone from wanting to do everything, to wanting to do nothing. I've crashed. After my exam, I've wanted to sleep and sleep. Five days later, and I still want to sleep. In fact, I'm so tired, my eye has been twitching a little all day. You know, that inevitable little twitch in the eye-lid that keeps you from fully being alert and awake. It probably didn't help that I participated in the Sun run. Made me crash even more.

Yep. 10 km. It was my first time in the Sun Run and it was a good experience. I'll definitely be doing it again, and of course, try to beat my time. I don't know what my time was, actually, because I forgot to time myself. I walked with my oldest sister, and one of my friends from elementary school. Yes, walked, because we didn't train, and we're wusses. Well, not quite. We ran for about 2km, and that felt good. I'm surprised actually because the only other time that I've ever run for any semi-long duration was in PE in grade 10, which was quite a long time ago. My legs still ache, but I'm happy to have done it.

The Vancouver Sun will be posting the Sun Run results in Tuesday's paper (tomorrow). When I know my time, I'll post it here, so that I know what time to beat for next year. It should be easy to beat, though, since I'm sure it's somewhere in the 2 hour mark.

And now, my friend is trying to entice me to run the 24 hour relay for the Easter Seals. I'm considering it. Running for charity is a great motivation to get in shape - not only is it good for the charity but it's good for your health too.

But first, I need more sleep...

Kudos to you for participating in the Sun Run! Or Sun Walk, haha! I couldn't do it...10K is waay too long for me. :) But...maybe next year.
