The Assassination of Richard Nixon

Last night I watched the preview screening of The Assassination of Richard Nixon, starring Sean Penn, Naomi Watts and Don Cheadle. I won't say too much about the plot of the film, only that it's very good. The movie is "inspired" by the true story of Samuel Byck who unsuccessfully plotted to assassin President Nixon. It's very sad and chilling story. I highly recommend it, when it comes out in theatres in February.

One comment I'd like to make, is that Samuel Byck (as portrayed by Sean Penn) does not like liars. However, everywhere he went people would be lying, either in their job, or lying to themselves, and even people lying to him directly. Life is full of lies, and you have to learn to deal with it. Most of the time, the lies are the little white lies, the ones that make your friends and family feel better. The worst lies are the selfish lies, and self-deception. The ideal of truth-telling only will inevitably lead to one path - dissapointment and bitter resentment.

Anyway, I think I've said enough. If you're interested in this movie, go to:
